Last Sunday afternoon I visited Governor's Island for the "Fete Paradiso" show, a traveling French carnival from the 19th century. The working rides and restored dance area were so beautiful, I don't think these photos give them any justice. It's a shame I made my way to the island on the second to last weekend it's open for the season, but it was a pretty wonderful end to summer!
